https://emiratitimes.com/ Abu Dhabi: SAKINA, the leading mental health network under SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Autism Society to strengthen integrated care for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and enhance access to specialized healthcare and rehabilitation services across Abu Dhabi.

The partnership reflects SAKINA’s commitment to delivering person-centred, evidence-based care by integrating specialized clinical services with community support, ensuring a seamless care journey for children with autism and their families.

Under the agreement, SAKINA and the Emirates Autism Society will work together to provide a wide range of specialised services, including psychological and behavioural assessments, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). The collaboration is designed to improve early intervention and long-term developmental outcomes for children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In addition to clinical care, the MoU places a strong emphasis on community education and awareness. Both organizations will organize workshops and awareness programmes for parents, teachers, caregivers, and educators, equipping them with practical knowledge and skills to better support children in home, school, and community environments.

Speaking about the partnership, Ali bin Shmail Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Emirates Autism Society, said the agreement represents an important milestone in strengthening collaboration with leading healthcare institutions while supporting the continued development of specialized services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the UAE.

Dr. Zain Ali Al Yafai, Chief Executive Officer of SAKINA, highlighted the importance of expanding access to evidence-based care. Dr. Al Yafai noted that the partnership will not only improve specialised healthcare services but also empower families, educators, and caregivers with the resources needed to support children throughout every stage of their development.
