To establish an AirPlay connection, users can simply scan a unique QR code displayed on the hotel room TV. This will allow them to seamlessly stream content from their iPhone or iPad without any physical connections.
Additionally, once the pairing process is complete, the device will automatically connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi network. It is important to note that the device must be updated to iOS 17.3 or iPadOS 17.3 or a later version to utilize this feature.
AirPlay on hotel room TVs is compatible with various apps and services such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade for gaming, Apple Fitness+ for workouts, and much more. This ensures a wide range of entertainment options for guests during their stay.
Samsung has emphasized that no personal information is stored or saved when using the AirPlay feature, and the paired device is automatically disconnected upon check-out from the hotel. This ensures the privacy and security of the users' data.

While Samsung has not disclosed the specific hotel chains that will offer its AirPlay-enabled TVs, it is worth mentioning that LG hotel room TVs with a similar feature were launched earlier this year at select IHG Hotels & Resorts properties in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Samsung's AirPlay feature is expected to expand to more locations in the future.
