The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority of the United Arab Emirates honored SAS for its mentoring and support of the Hackathon 5.0 competition.

SAS participated in the Ai for Livability session and helped the teams to a successful end, which was themed – Data for Happiness and Well-being. The hackathon was divided into seven themes and three tracks, one for schools, another for universities, and another for entrepreneurs. The objective is to fortify the foundations upon which creative, inventive, and innovative people can network, cooperate, think, learn, and build.
SAS has piloted more than 30 programmes across 12 colleges in the GCC region with the goal of assisting the new generation in developing and expanding their skill sets in AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
"AI, machine learning, and data analytics are heavily dependent on the future of business," said Michel Ghorayeb, SAS's Managing Director for the UAE. "These technologies have the potential and capacity to match the rapid pace of customer demands, whether it's environmental sustainability, business capabilities, or economic stability, he added.
The organization raises awareness of essential technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics, as well as teaches and supports knowledge exchange. These activities closely mirror and contribute to the UAE Centennial Plan 2071's pillars of education, diversified economy, future-focused governance, and cohesive society.
