The Portuguese player recently scored a hattrick for Al Nassr

Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly encouraged his former Juventus teammate to join his new club.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in December 2022 after the mutual termination of his contract with Manchester United.

As per Sportskeeda, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the 38-year-old player has asked his good friend and former Juventus teammate, Carlo Pinsoglio to join him at the Saudi club.

Carlo Pinsoglio was Juventus’s third-choice goalkeeper during the Portuguese player’s stint in Turin and the duo was also good friends off the pitch.

The 32-year-old backup Juve goalkeeper has not made any appearance for the Old Lady so far in the current season. Carlo Pinsoglio’ recent contract will soon end by the end of the season.

With Al-Nassr goalkeeper David Ospina having been ruled out with an elbow injury, adding a new player would not be a wrong move for the Saudi club.

Now, as per recent reports, Ronaldo has reached out to the Italian to join him in the Middle East.

But, the Saudi club can only complete a move for Carlo Pinsoglio in the month of June.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined his former club Juventus at 33 in the year 2018 after his nine-year stint with Real Madrid and took Italian football by storm.

The five-time ballon d’or winner has now nearly completed two months with the Saudi Arabian club after leaving Manchester United in November last year.

The 38-year-old has settled with Al-Nassr and bagged two hat-tricks in his past three games despite initial disappointments. He most recently netted three goals as Al Nassr beat Damac in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday.
