Masahble: Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal player Neymar is being slammed for gaining weight over injury.
Al-Hilal star Neymar has been called “overweight” after suffering a serious injury which left him out of several games.
Following his summer transfer to the Saudi Pro League last year, Neymar only played three times for his new team Al-Hilal in the regional tournament with two games for the AFC Champions League.
Neymar, who left the French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain for the Saudi Professional League is now being criticized for his physique as he recovers from the serious Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), which he suffered in a national game with Brazil, last October.
Recently, some images and videos of the former Barcelona star doing his individual training at the Saudi Pro League side went viral and received some brutal reactions from football fans online. Take a look:
Meanwhile, Neymar has previously hit back at claims, that called him “fat” after he suffered a serious injury. His video reaction soon became viral.
Some internet users have also slammed Neymar by saying that he should “retire” from the sports.
The 32-year-old is reportedly taking eight to ten months to recover from the injury. The campaign ends in late May 2024 with no guarantee that the player will kick a ball in this remaining term.
Neymar will continue to step up his rehab and train in the coming weeks and months, while his table-topping side Al-Hilal plays their best on the field, next with Al-Raed on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
