Saudi Arabia Breaking News (SABN): HANNOVER, Germany, April 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia opened a national pavilion at Hannover Messe 2026 in Germany, where officials held meetings with international industrial and technology companies, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources said.
The pavilion brings together several Saudi state entities as the kingdom seeks to expand manufacturing activity, draw investment and increase the use of advanced industrial technologies.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, ministry officials met representatives of companies including Siemens, Festo, Schneider Electric, Fraunhofer, Schaeffler, SEW-EURODRIVE, ZIEHL-ABEGG and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, according to the ministry.
Ahmed Alzawawi, assistant deputy minister for localization and advanced manufacturing, told a panel discussion at the event that Saudi Arabia was working with factories on automation, artificial intelligence and other technologies through its Industrial Lighthouses Program.
