Mashable: Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons recorded a win in qualifying Group D
Saudi Arabia recently qualified for the 2023 AFC Under-17 Asian Cup.
On Sunday, October 9, 2022, Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons recorded a win over India at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.
Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons defeated India’s Blue Colts by 2-1. This victory confirmed Green Falcons as the winners of Group D.
Green Falcons earned a maximum of 12 points from all four matches that they played against Mayanmar, Maldives, Kuwait, and India.
The young Green Falcons kicked off their tournament wins with a strong victory of 6-0 against Mayanmar on Sunday, October 2, 2022. It was followed by a crushing 9-0 victory in their second fixture over the Maldives on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
On Friday, October 8, 2022, Saudi Arabia defeated Kuwait by 2-1 which was expected to be their toughest fixture.
India on the other hand, still earned the qualification for the 2023 AFC Under-17 Asian Cup on Sunday despite losing to the host in the last qualifiers game.

India’s Blue Clots landed on the second spot in Group D which helped them to qualify as one of the six best second-placed teams across the 10 groups of the qualifying tournament.
Blue Clots had previously won against the Maldives by 5-0, Kuwait by 3-0, and Myanmar by 4-1 in the competition.
The finals of the 2023 AFC Under-17 Asian Cup will be held in May 2023 with the host country yet to be decided.
The teams qualified for the 2023 AFC Under-17 Asian Cup includes Japan, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, India, Qatar, Yemen, Australia, Tajikistan, Iran, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, China, South Korea, Afghanistan, Thailand, and Laos.
