Egypt Today: CAIRO – 7 April 2026: The King Fahd Causeway Authority in Saudi Arabia has announced the suspension of vehicular traffic as a precautionary measure.

The decision follows emergency alerts issued by the National Early Warning Platform in the Eastern Province within the last few hours.

The King Fahd Causeway serves as the primary land link connecting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Parallel to this, The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has issued an urgent statement calling on citizens and residents to remain at home and avoid all non-essential travel from midnight on Tuesday, April 7, until 6:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8.

The Ministry explained that this precautionary measure is part of ongoing security monitoring and a commitment to maintaining public safety given the current regional climate. The directive aims to enhance the ability of relevant authorities to respond to emergencies and allow security forces to perform their duties with maximum efficiency.

The broader conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States—which began on February 28—has severely destabilized the Middle East and impacted the global economy.

Global anxiety reached its highest on Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump issued a warning on his Truth Social platform, noting that a "whole civilization will die tonight" as his final deadline for Iran expired.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” Trump wrote.

He added: “Now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight.”

He finally concluded with: “47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
