Saudi Arabia’s ‘Made to Change’ advertisement nominated for Art Directors Guild Awards

‘NEOM: ‘Made to Change’ advert has been nominated for the 26th ADG Excellence in Production Design Awards.

A proud moment for the land of Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom’s ‘NEOM: ‘Made to Change’ advert has been nominated for the Art Directors Guild Awards, announced by the organisers on Monday.

The 26th ADG Excellence in Production Design Awards that is taking place live in-person is scheduled to take place on March 5 in Los Angeles. The event takes place to honours production design in theatrical motion pictures, music videos, animated feature films, television shows and commercials.

The ad, nominated in the ‘Commercials’ category is a 90-second video, that shows how the $500 billion smart cities in the Tabuk Province of north-western Saudi Arabia will accelerate the human drive for progress through technology, energy, sustainability, mobility and more.

Located north of the Red Sea, east of Egypt across the Strait of Tiran, and south of Jordan, NEOM, is Saudi Arabia’s planned city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia that aims to incorporate smart city technologies and to function as a tourist destination.

The commercial’s production designer is François Audouy and has been nominated along with some of the biggest commercials including Gucci: Aria, Apple Music: Billie Eilish — Happier Than Ever, Apple: Introducing iPhone 13 Pro and more.
