Saudi Arabia and Russia plan to further their cooperation in the fields of Media and communications. Saudi Arabian Minister of Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, paid an official visit to Russia to have talked about the developments in the fields of media and communication. The Minister of Media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad met with the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Konstantin Noskov in Moscow.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of media cooperation between the two countries and various ways to enhance media communication and mechanisms of investing the media in transferring media contents to serve common issues and meeting the current media challenges.
Dr. Al-Awwad also had discussions with a number of Russian officials in the sectors of television, radio, press and modern media communication sector so as to discuss ways of developing the media and media communication. This meeting is of significance as Russia and Saudi Arabia are already into rectifying the political issues between the two countries and at this juncture both the countries decided to ease the tensions with more cooperations in the media and communications sector is a healthy move.
