This fifth edition of the Gov Games, which is set to take place between February 29 to March 3, 2024, had an electrifying and high-octane start with the Burj Khalifa Climb.

The challenge featured various international teams climbing the 160 floors of the 828-metre-tall megastructure. Each team had five athletes tethered together by a single rope.

“The Burj Challenge takes our competition beyond a physical challenge,” said Marwan bin Essa, Director of Gov Games. “It stands as a symbol for how competitors can push their boundaries and break new barriers when they work together with a shared bond and drive that can take them to the top.”

Marwan bin Essa spoke of the competition and added, “We are excited to see the 2024 Gov Games teams work together in this new, exciting challenge in the competition, and achieve great things together.”
