Simon Pollock, an industry veteran has launched Simon Pollock & Co, focusing on senior level executive search in global media and entertainment.

With 25 years’ experience in senior roles for two Hollywood studios, Disney and Sony, Simon Pollock had a stint of  nine years with A&E Networks, establishing its London office and overseeing the launch of The History Channel throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Most recently he was head of Practice, Media and Entertainment at search firm Heidrick & Struggles.

“If you operate in the media sector in any country in the world and need to appoint senior executives, I and my colleagues will find them,” Pollock said. “No one knows more about who’s who and what’s what in media than we do.”

He will work closely with Stephen Buchanan, MD of Research Europe, who has more than 20 years’ experience in executive search, working in 45 countries around the world and was head of research at two London-based executive search firms.
