Among gulf countries, the UAE has even opened doors for coders to get golden passports.

Increasing involvement of apps in every aspect of life from work to learning, shopping, bill payments, banking, transportation and entertainment among others, has transformed app development and coding as well as cybersecurity, into professions which are now being pursued by a large number of students aspiring to play a role in building the future. The Middle East has also opened its doors to tech professionals from across the globe by rolling out initiatives like golden passports for coders, along with perks for startup founders who pick the Emirates as an ecosystem to turn their ideas into products.

At the same time, authorities are setting up universities dedicated to AI and offering online courses for local talent, which will form the workforce to propel gulf economies towards a digital revolution, as online sources of information have already encouraged Emirati students to innovate. In a move which will come as a shot in the arm for IT students as well as existing coders in the Middle East, a firm called Newage Learning has launched a training delivery mechanism to impart knowhow about coding and cybersecurity.

The Vivacoder initiative comes with a lab, guided learning modules and skill assessment tests that are accessible online, to provide training which is relevant to the talent of a student or the kind of career they are pursuing. Upgraded technology courses are also customised in order to suit the personal preferences and learning styles of the candidate, for a personalised approach.

Progress of budding coders and cybersafety pros will be tracked through regularly submitted projects as well as a portfolio that'll be updated with new skills that a student acquires, before a final demonstration of capabilities after the course ends. In addition to students in the gulf region, the Vivacoder mechanism will also deliver additional skill-based training for coders already working in the region's thriving tech sector.

This will complement projects like a coders' society in the UAE, which connects 60,000 tech professionals across the country.
