Mashable: After winning the Asia Cup 2027 bid, Saudi Arabia has revealed its plans to renovate some of its stadiums, along with building new ones for the tournament, reports Al Arabiya and Arabian Business.
The plans to achieve this were unveiled as soon as Saudi won the bidding war by the 33rd Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Congress delegation in Bahrain.

The new stadiums will be built in three cities: Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, and Saudi 2027, a Twitter account, has also revealed what Riyadh’s upcoming station would look like. Moreover, they have revealed how the audience can reach the venue can be reached via the metro. According to the Al-Ekhbariya channel, the stadium can accommodate 22,500 people.

Another stadium called the Qiddiya Stadium “will be one of the masterpieces Saudi will provide to Asia,” reveals Saudi 2027, and will host 40,000 audiences. The Dammam Stadium will also be created to fit the “region’s environment, enhance the fan experience and achieve aesthetic satisfaction”; and will have 40,000 seats for the fans.

Some matches will also occur at Riyadh’s King Fahd International Stadium, an existing venue. However, it will be renovated to accommodate 80,000 viewers, meaning they will have to reduce one of its tracks and add more facilities.
The Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium will be redesigned to allow 44,500 fans to watch the game, and they can commute via the metro. Meanwhile, Riyadh’s Mrsool Park will accommodate 25,000 fans.

In addition, Dammam’s Prince Saud bin Jalawi Sports City will host 22,000 fans, while Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium will accommodate 30,000 fans.

The Red Sea city, located in Jeddah, also has two stadiums, namely the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and the Prince Abdullah al-Faisal stadium, each having a capacity of 59,000 and 27,000, respectively.
