Recently, an app named 'Color Message' was reported to have the Joker malware. Shockingly, the app has over 500k downloads on the Google Play Store.
But, it seems like Joker is back as over seven apps on the Google Play Store include the malware.
The Joker malware was created to damage the apps and operating system of smartphones.
According to Pradeo reports, the 'Color Message' app which has 5 lakh active users is the latest app to be infected by the Joker malware and is said to have connections to Russian servers.
However, Google has recently removed it from the Play Store upon the identification of the malware.

The Joker malware seems to return even after it was banned by Google. Sources claim that the malware is making a few changes to the codes and algorithm to bypass the security walls.
For those who don't know, the Joker malware was founded in the year 2017 and recently came into the spotlight after it started infecting Android smartphones and breaching security concerns. It is reported that the app has affected over 15 apps on the Google Play Store since last year.
