The new season of Abu Dhabi’s Warehouse421 to focus on mental health and holistic well-being

With the arrival of the New Year, Abu Dhabi’s cultural centre Warehouse 421 has taken a step forward to dive into the world of holistic living and well-being, which will take place from February 27 to May 8, 2022.

The modern cultural centre, located at Zayed Port is bringing themes of care and well-being in line with the start of a new year, the announcement of which was done eight months back.

After a series of online workshops and care sessions, the cultural organisation, is focusing on regional collaborations, grants and mentorship schemes, and local capacity-building overall that are going to present exhibitions, workshops and film screenings, this winter season.

A Series of sessions and workshops are going to engulf Warehouse 421, which includes candle-making workshops, sound-healing, artwork meditation, CL-U creative market among others that aim to help in discovering our inner selves.

For instance, Warehouse421 will host the first solo exhibition of Ammar Al Attar who is presenting ‘Out of Range’ – on a show that has been produced with The Institute for Emerging Art in Dubai.

Collaborating with Colomboscope, the Sri Lanka festival organisation, the exhibit will include commissions and artworks taken from Colomboscope’s most recent event. It will also see Warehouse421 Project Revival Fund in 2020—a Warehouse421’s Covid-19-related responses.

Other short courses include jewellery-making, dancing, children’s storytelling, table scaping and dukhoon (incense) making, giving a wider range of audience to take part in the winter session.

The focus this season, i.e. mental health, the organisation has some mental health workshops lined up for adults as well as teenagers, along with a programme allowing teenagers to gain advice from young creative practitioners.
