The mallathons have officially started in Dubai. On August 1, top malls in the city turned into indoor running tracks. The initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, is part of Dubai's efforts to set new global benchmarks in wellbeing by making fitness an integral part of daily life. Fitness freaks stepped out early in the morning to walk, jog, and run inside the malls.
