One of Dubai’s most anticipated attractions—Ain Dubai has been long due for its opening. The world’s largest and tallest observation wheel located on Bluewaters Island, was due to open in October 2020, with the Expo 2020, however, it was stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But now, the observation wheel is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2021. The Government of Dubai Media Office took to Twitter to announce the news.

Ain Dubai, formerly known as Dubai Eye or Dubai-I is more than 250 metres high, making it the tallest and largest observation wheel in the world which is 82 metres higher than the High Roller in Las Vegas and almost twice the size of the London Eye.

The largest Ferris wheel has a glass-enclosed capsule rising to 820 feet in the air, offering 360-degree panoramas of the Dubai skyline. The attraction has a capacity of 1,750 people.

The attraction which is already a favourite on social media due to its amazing lighting has many people waiting for the ride. Each rotation of the wheel last for approximately 38 minutes, and visitors are advised to arrive up to 60 minutes ahead of their ticket time to prepare for their trip.

The attraction has 48 high-tech cabins on offer divided into three sections—Observation, Social and Private Cabins.

The observation cabin can be enjoyed throughout the day and night, including a special sunset ride that will last up to 38 minutes.

The Social Cabins have more to offer than just a view. These cabins will have VIP lounge access and a bar in the centre of the pod. The entry to this pod is only above 21 years and gives free access to roam the pod and enjoy two drinks from the dedicated bar.

The Private Cabins will cater to occasions like birthdays, engagements, weddings, business functions or any other celebration, giving an option to book. The private cabins will also offer a private three-course dinner experience throughout two rotations of the wheel.

While the maximum capacity of a standard view cabin is 40 guests, due to Covid-19, the capacity has been reduced to seven guests per cabin or ten from the same group. Ain Dubai will be open daily from 12 noon to 10 PM.
