beebom: Twitter's Android app will soon be able to pick text within tweets, a feature that is both simple and quite helpful. Jane Manchun Wong, a well-known app reverse engineer, recently tweeted that the company is working on text selection for its Android app.

Twitter is still many people's preferred social networking site. Despite its recent growth and addition of new features, such as a paid Blue subscription, it remains less cluttered than other services, such as Facebook.

In contrast to some of Meta's other apps, this app is straightforward and easy to use. Despite the fact that Twitter allows for media sharing, the focus of this platform is on text. Ultimately, its original goal was to convey a message in a concise manner while not exceeding the character restriction.

Twitter is working on bringing text selection to Android, as code spelunker Jane Wong revealed on Twitter. For iPhone users, this capability is already in place, allowing them to pick parts of (or the entire) tweets to copy and paste. When a person merely needs to copy a single line of text, this feature can come in handy. However, because it's still in the works, we have no idea when we'll be able to get our hands on it.

Android 11 and 12 users with compatible phones can utilize the built-in feature of the OS to choose text from a tweet until the official release. The recent apps panel in the multitasking window gives you quick access to it. If you truly need it, it's still an option, even if it's not as handy to utilize.
