Mashable: Residents of the United Arab Emirates, get ready to take a flight in air taxis, as soon as next 18 to 24 months.
According to the Khaleej Times, air taxis will be flying out in UAE by the end of 2025. You can soon, travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in just 10 minutes with a Dh800 air taxi ride.
A top official from flying taxi company Archer Aviation revealed to Khaleej Times that passengers will be able to board flying taxis within the next 18 to 24 months. It could take just 10 to 20 minutes with the ride costing about Dh800 to Dh1,500, to travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

Nikhil Goel, the chief commercial officer of Archer Aviation, revealed that the futuristic rides when going from point A to point B in Dubai or within cities would cost between Dh300 to Dh350, whereas, if a passenger wants to travel from one emirate to another, then the fare would range from Dh800 to Dh1,500.
Highlighting the convenience, he revealed that these flying taxis would help cut the traveling time of 60- to 90-minute drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to just 10 to 20 minutes.
“Within the next 18 to 24 months, you are going to see passengers here in the UAE flying on our aircraft from one point to another,” the Khaleej Times quoted Nikhil Goel.
The official also confirmed that the ultra-rich will be able to use high-end service, too, as well as book private air taxis. The certification of the air taxis is now in the final stages, and the company Archer Aviation could be ready to launch its futuristic vehicles by the end of 2025.

Meanwhile, in April, Archer Aviation received multimillion-dollar investments from the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi to manufacture its Midnight aircraft as well as establish its international headquarters in the Emirate.
The investment also aimed at building vertiports throughout Abu Dhabi and accelerating the launch of commercial air taxi operations in the United Arab Emirates.
The four-passenger aircraft, Archer’s Midnight is piloted and flies between 500 and 3,000 meters above the ground.

The US-based firm has also recently signed a deal with Abu Dhabi-headquartered Etihad Aviation Training (EAT) to hire and train pilots for its Midnight aircraft.
The official also assured that Archer’s Midnight aircraft is well equipped with rotors and propellers that can operate independently from batteries. They could also safely land in an emergency on both the rooftop and runway.
