The United Arab Emirates-based astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi recently shared a new video from the International Space Station.

The Sultan of Space successfully completed another mission aboard the ISS.

On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Sultan AlNeyadi posted a two-minute-long video aboard the orbiting laboratory.

The Emirati astronaut wrote that recently he had the opportunity to “monitor” and “execute” the mission of releasing the Cygnus spacecraft.

The Cygnus spacecraft was “filled with waste from the ISS” the astronaut confirmed and it was “safely burned up” in Earth’s atmosphere.

Sultan AlNeyadi also informed us that a few months back the Cygnus spacecraft was used to deliver about 3,700 kg of “essential cargo” for their mission.

In the video shared by the astronaut, he could be seen surrounded by monitors that show the live feed from cameras. The video also shows AlNeyadi following the movements of the spacecraft on the monitors.

The Cygnus spacecraft was filled with waste and was sent back to Earth to burn up in its atmosphere safely.

Sultan AlNeyadi jetted off to space in March for a six-month research trip. In April, the astronaut made history and became the first Arab to perform a spacewalk.

The Emirati astronaut regularly shares updates of his first long-duration mission from the International Space Station.
