Mashable: Dubai YouTuber Khalid Al Ameri’s former wife Salama Mohamed is publicly speaking about her ‘devastating’ health struggle toward the end of last year. On Monday, the UAE influencer penned a lengthy note for her best friend Maram on Instagram while shedding light on her health ordeal associated with an IBS flare-up. “I rarely come here and share something so private or open my heart but I thought I really have to,” wrote Salama in her Insta post.

She narrated accounts of not doing well which prompted her best friend to book a flight from Austria to meet her. “She saw how devastated I was and took me to the hospital during my IBS flare up and we both laughed about it. It was her mission to get me out of bed and start leaving my house all in baby steps! From going to restaurants to taking my kids out to watch a play.. to even start painting today! I may have a small circle of friends but I am thankful that my circle is mighty in love and strength and endless support,” added Salama.

The online post consists of a carousel of photos and videos including one where Salama is receiving treatment at a hospital facility.

In June, the UAE influencer publicly disclosed her divorce from Khalid Al Ameri, the YouTuber known for his comedy travel vlogs where he explores local cuisines and cultures of different countries. Salama and Khalid tied the knot in 2007 and are parents to two sons. In a YouTube interview with Emirati presenter Nour Aldin, Salama revealed the divorce was a mutual decision.
