The United Arab Emirates is set to make history again with Rashid Rover.
The United Arab Emirates is set to get the perfect gift for Eid Al Fitr as Rashid Rover is reportedly set to land on the moon after the Eid Al Fitr holiday break.
As per Khaleej Times, Emirates’ Rashid Rover is scheduled to land on the Moon soon after the four-day Eid holiday break.
The Emirates Lunar Mission has given the UAE the perfect gift to celebrate the Islamic festival which starts on April 21, 2023, depending on the moon sighting.
The Emirates Lunar Mission by Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre is the first mission to the Moon from the UAE. The MBRSC sent a lunar rover, Rashid to the Moon in December last year on ispace’s Hakuto-R Mission 1 lander.
The lander carrying Rashid Rover entered the lunar orbit last month, ispace updated on their official Twitter account. The onboard camera on the lander also photographed and sent the images.

According to the news outlet, ispace revealed the earliest scheduled landing date. Rashid Rover which is carried by HAKUTO-R Mission 1 Lunar Lander is scheduled to land on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
The Japan-based ispace has also revealed that the landing is expected at 4.40 pm (UTC), which is 8.40 pm UAE time but it can change depending on operational conditions.
UAE named Rashid Rover after the former Ruler of Dubai, the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. It was made in the UAE and is the first lunar spacecraft built by an Arab country.
