The all-new experience has launched at Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak, in Ras Al Khaimah.

Get your adrenaline pumping, as the UAE launches an all-new bobsled experience at the UAE’s highest peak, in Ras Al Khaimah at Jebel Jais.
The new adventure attraction that opened on February 16 has the region’s longest toboggan ride, Jais Sledder that stretches 1,885 metres.

The high-octane eight-minute ride will seat two people - one in the front and the other in the back wherein they will be enjoying the thrill of the ride set amidst UAE’s stunning mountain backdrop.

Unlike a bobsledding experience in other parts of the world that involves snow, this one feature much more sand than snow. As adventure seekers get on the ride, they will be exposed to exhilarating hairpin curves along the way, reaching speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour.

“The speed seems amplified ten-fold as you sit close to the ground. The fully controllable ride takes around eight minutes to cover 1,885 exhilarating metres of hairpin curves and undulating whirls,” said the authorities on the launch.

The ride that can experience solo or in tandem with someone else has been priced at just Dhs40 for one adult ride and Dh60 for one adult and child ride. Riders need to be at least three years old with children up to the age of eight (or under 1.35m tall) must ride in a two-seater sledge accompanied by an older person.

Apart from the exhilarating ride, adventurers here can also enjoy the Jebel Jais Flight, the world’s longest zip-line and an obstacle maze experience in the form of the Jais Ropes Course.
