Mashable: Saudi Arabia has announced a National Day holiday for the private sector
Residents of the United Arab Emirates have a few more holidays to enjoy until the end of this year.
Here’s a list of upcoming public holidays in the UAE that will help you plan an outing with your loved ones.
Ever since the long weekend during the Islamic New Year ended, several residents of the UAE are awaiting the next break of 2023.
The next public holiday in the Emirates will actually come a lot earlier than we expected. The residents of the Gulf country will enjoy a break on Friday, September 29, 2023, to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Prophet Muhammad’s birthday is observed on 12 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1445, the third month of the Hijri calendar in most Islamic countries, including in the Gulf. Since the holiday is followed by a weekend, i.e., Saturday and Sunday, residents will get to enjoy a long weekend.
After the long weekend, the last holidays of this year will fall in December. According to What’s On, the residents will get the last holidays of this year for Commemoration Day and the UAE National Day which is marked annually on Friday, December 1, 2023, and on December 2 and 3, which is a Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, according to the Gulf News, the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced an official holiday for the Saudi National Day on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
