Nancy Dubuc has been confirmed as the CEO of Vice Media. The announcement came shortly after her departure from A+E Networks as President and CEO was made public.

Dubuc replaces Vice co-founder Shane Smith, who will move into the role of Executive Chairman.

She is joining at a time when Vice, the digital media company known in recent years for TV shows, films, and online videos that appeal to millennial and younger audiences, has been the subject of public allegations of sexism and sexual misconduct.

Dubuc will leave her job as CEO of A+E Networks, which owns the History channel and Lifetime as well as A&E.

Meanwhile, Viceland is still in its early stages of growth. While its U.S. audience has grown year on year, in Canada, Rogers Media and Vice terminated their partnership, and that has meant Viceland will stop broadcasting via Rogers at the end of the month.
