Wavemaker, GroupM’s newest media agency (created from the merger of MEC and Maxus) has appointed Nancy Tortorella as U.S. chief client officer.
Based in the Wavemaker New York office, Tortorella will report to Wavemaker U.S. CEO Amanda Richman.
The two executives have known each other since their days working at Publicis Media agencies. Since 2009, Tortorella has been executive vice president, managing director at Mediavest. Richman joined Wavemaker last October from Mediavest sibling agency Starcom where she was president, investment. Earlier she held senior posts at Mediavest.
Prior to Mediavest, Tortorella served at two GroupM media agencies--Mediaedge and Mindshare--as well as at sibling creative agency Ogilvy.
Richman stated, “I’ve always been impressed by Nancy’s commitment to client leadership excellence, to building fully-integrated teams, and to developing talent – she’s a fabulous addition to our executive team.”
