Mashable: Cristiano Ronaldo fans, assemble!
Cristiano Ronaldo has no plans of hanging up his boots anytime soon. CR7's Portugal is set to face Germany in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League on June 4, 2025.
Ahead of the big match, Portugal's head coach, Roberto Martínez, heaped praise on CR7. He told Sport TV, "On the field, he is meticulously monitored. Off the field, the players need to show team values, exemplary commitment. When we talk about players like João Neves and Mora, having the opportunity to speak to Cristiano helps their performance in the future with the national team."
Reflecting on CR7's retirement, Roberto said that no one has an idea about that. "It's like talking about the weather, everyone has an opinion. No one has a plan, not even Cristiano himself," he said.
Last year, Ronaldo opened up about his retirement plans, saying he has a year or two left in him, but he's not sure about anything. He added that he wants to enjoy every moment as much as he can.
Ronaldo's Al Nassr journey: Cristiano joined the Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr in January 2023. Lately, there have been rumours of him leaving the team. A few days ago, CR7 shared a photo of himself along with the caption, "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."
Fans speculated that he might have confirmed his Al Nassr exit. Where is he going next? Ronaldo has not revealed his plans yet.
