Taking place from November 8 to 13, the annual design festival is taking place in partnership with Dubai Culture and Dubai Design District.
One of Dubai’s famous annual design festivals, the Dubai Design Week 2021 is returning for the year, with even more events and an expanded programme.
Taking place from November 8 to 13, the annual design festival is taking place in partnership with Dubai Culture and Dubai Design District and will be held at the D3 where most of the festival’s activities will take place.
Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and member of Dubai Council, the event is the region’s largest creative festival.
The event also known as DXBDW2021 is in its seventh edition and will feature over 200 events including exhibitions, pop-ups, installations, talks and workshops, among others.
The week-long event will witness in-person showcasing of more than 130 international and regional exhibiting brands and designers, along with a talks programme that will feature over 50 discussions with global leaders in design, who will shed light on the latest innovations and trends within the industry.
Dubai Design Week 2021 will also present architecture-focused exhibitions, like a multimedia showcase titled 2040: d3 Architecture Exhibition—where five architectural firms will present concepts of how Dubai could look in 20 years.
This year, the festival is focusing on supporting the creative community in Lebanon. Upcoming and established Lebanese design talent will be highlighted throughout the festival’s programme, from architectural installations and product design to artisanal Lebanese delicacies at The Marketplace and outdoor music sessions at the Jazz Garden.
Connoisseurs of design and all things creative will get to see Abwab, Downtown Design, various outdoor installations, Global Grad show, UAE Designer Exhibition 2.0 among others.
