Google’s YouTube is planning to take massive steps to curb its fake news to support the news organizations. They plan to check the wrong information and incorrect news which are spreading through their platform for quite some time. YouTube will now take only news from reliable and credible sources especially when there is a major breaking news. At such situations, YouTube will show the users a short text preview of news stories as well as a warning which denotes a future change in the story.

The text messages can counter the fake videos which are played immediately after shooting natural calamities etc. In this case shooting another original quality video will be time consuming and to avoid the delay text messages with the real news will be scrolled in order to avoid further spreading of wrong information Recently  YouTube search results prominently showed videos purporting to “prove” that mass shootings like the one that killed at least 59 in Las Vegas were fake, acted out by “crisis actors as it was an emergency situation to be handled.

The officials at YouTube, however, did not reveal the reliable sources which they plan to take the news with credibility. It isn’t just compiling a simple list of trusted news outlets but 10000 human reviewers at Google — so-called search quality raters who monitor search results around the world — are helping determine what will count as authoritative sources and news stories. The company is also testing ways to counter conspiracy videos with generally trusted sources such as Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Britannica. Now a team will work on the fake news and will handle the situation seriously
