CNEWS is a free French daily newspaper. Launched in Île-de-France on February 6, 2007, it is known under the names of MatinPlus until 2008, Direct Matin Plus from 2008 to 2010, Direct Matin from 2010 to 2017 before CNEWS Matin in 2017. From 4 December 2017, it is renamed CNEWS is the same name as the channel news channel. It is owned by the Bolloré group, mainly owned by Vincent Bolloré. This "morning paper" is in competition with 20 minutes, free newspaper distributed in the morning in Île-de-France. It is distributed to 400,000 copies in Île-de-France, and more than one million in France. Note that from 2006 to 2010 the free newspaper Direct Soir was distributed at night, also belonging to the Bolloré group.
