https://www.timeoutabudhabi.com/ Several of the world’s biggest and best comedians are set to perform in the UAE capital as the Abu Dhabi Comedy Season returns in October.

Returning for a third edition, the season sees top global stars take to the stage in Abu Dhabi as part of a special lineup of gigs in the city.

Following two successful years of sold-out shows, the capital is bringing the laughs once again with its first wave of performers including Russell Peters, Morgan Jay, Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani. More headliners are expected in the coming months, so keep your eye on Time Out Abu Dhabi for all the latest.

The shows at Etihad Arena have been organised by Live Nation Middle East, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi.

Sunday October 11: Morgan Jay
Los Angeles-based comedian, musician and performer Morgan Jay blends quick-witted crowd work, improvised comedy and live music into an interactive performance. Jay has built a global fanbase through viral social media clips featuring auto-tuned audience participation.

October 25: Russell Peters
Promising an unfiltered night of sharp observations, cultural humour and crowdwork, the show is expected to be one of the biggest stand-up gigs of the year in the UAE. The Canadian native is popular across the world and has sold out venues such as London’s O2 Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York plus Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

November 6: Mo Amer
Highly acclaimed Palestinian-American standup Mohammed ‘Mo’ Amer will take to the stage to share his reflection on family, fatherhood and his candid insights on parenthood. Amer’s semi-autobiographical Netflix series MO has garnered a rare 98 percent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

November 7: Maz Jobrani
Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani has built a career out of turning cultural misunderstandings, immigrant experiences and everyday family dynamics into universally relatable comedy.
