Amidst the art season in the region, the library management department of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi)—MAKTABA opened a new Art Hub exhibition at the Khalifa Park Library.
The exhibition which opened on Sunday will be on display till November 25 and will feature multimedia works like visual arts, crafts, and design, created by 24 UAE-based emerging artists.
The exhibition, which is in line with MAKTABA, aims to leverage and contribute to the emirate’s cultural and artistic scene. Serving as a platform to connect artists with the public, the exhibition is scheduled with varied programming throughout the event’s duration.
It offers the community inspiring artistic and cultural experiences, and also gives participating artists the opportunity to showcase their work and creative skills, allowing talented up-and-coming artists a platform to showcase their work and connect with wider audiences.
The exhibition also aims to benefit the community with an emphasis on knowledge and learning encompassing more than the written word, which is part of MAKTABA’s recognition of the importance of creativity and the arts in promoting engaged and intellectually curious young minds.
The exhibition has been curated by Ameera Ahmed Al Zaabi along with Saud Al Ahmad, Ahmed Abdullah Al Dhali’i, Maryam Issa Al Rumaithi, and Alia Khalifa Muhammad who are also KPL Art Hub’s five core artists.
They will be displaying their artwork throughout the exhibition, out of which other 19 artists, five will be selected each week to display and sell their work.
