https://businesstoday.me/: Jeddah Governorate is showcasing a vibrant marine tourism scene this summer, offering visitors a range of experiences along the Red Sea, from boat trips and water sports to diving and marine exploration.
With its blue waters, islands and diverse coral reefs, Jeddah has become one of the Red Sea’s prominent destinations for coastal and marine tourism. The governorate is strengthening its position as a key gateway for marine leisure by expanding access to beaches, marine sites and water-based activities.

Thirteen beaches and marine sites across Jeddah are experiencing increased activity during summer 2026, supported by a field operation involving 34 field supervisors and 66 male and female lifeguards. The measures are designed to enhance visitor safety, strengthen operational readiness and support a high-quality visitor experience amid rising demand for coastal activities.

Visitors can choose from four marine sports and experiences, alongside boat trips to islands and coral reef sites. These experiences provide opportunities to discover the Red Sea’s diverse marine environment while combining recreation, adventure, sport and nature.

The islands scattered along Jeddah’s coastline, together with their surrounding coral reefs and varied formations, add to the destination’s appeal and offer visitors opportunities for exploration beyond traditional beach activities.

Jeddah’s growing marine tourism offering forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to diversify its tourism destinations and products while capitalising on the Red Sea’s natural assets.

The development also supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to expand the tourism sector, increase its contribution to the national economy and enhance quality of life through a wider range of tourism and leisure experiences.
