https://businesstoday.me/ :Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) has invited UAE-based artists and creative practitioners to apply for short- and long-term studio spaces at Arts Square in Sharjah.

The Studio Programme is designed to support artistic research, experimentation and the development of new work by providing affordable, dedicated workspaces that encourage creative exchange and professional growth.

The studios are located at the Collections Building and Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, both within walking distance of the Sharjah Art Institute, Sharjah Art Museum and Al Mureijah Square. The locations offer artists an opportunity to develop their practices within Sharjah’s vibrant cultural district.

Studios at the Collections Building are situated on the first floor and are accessible by stairs. Alongside private workspaces, artists will have access to a shared pantry and communal area designed to encourage interaction and collaboration.

Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, a restored 19th-century heritage complex overlooking the creek, has hosted artist residencies, workshops and cultural programmes since 2009. The complex features ground-floor studios, residential apartments and a central courtyard, providing a distinctive environment for artistic practice.

Studios at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi are available on a three-month lease.

Available studio spaces include:

Two medium studios at the Collections Building – AED1,200
Three small studios at the Collections Building – AED800
Two ground-floor studios at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi – AED1,000
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio showcasing recent work, along with a CV of no more than two pages.

The application deadline is 10 September 2026.
