https://www.saudiarabiabreakingnews.com/ :RIYADH, August 30 — LEAP’s fifth edition opens in Riyadh on Monday, with more than 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives expected to participate in the technology event, which runs from August 31 to September 3 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham.

The announced lineup includes more than 1,800 technology companies, over 600 startups and more than 1,000 speakers and experts. The event will include dedicated programmes for startups and investors, alongside platforms for announcing investments, agreements and technology initiatives.

Artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, data and cybersecurity are among the subjects on the agenda. The programme combines discussions on these technologies with dedicated spaces for business meetings, demonstrations and content production.

LEAP Connect will provide a space for building connections and partnerships, while the Sports Tech Hub will focus on developments in sports technology. The World Tech Zone will showcase innovations from around the world, and LEAP Studios will support live content creation during the event.

Held under the theme “Into New Worlds,” the fifth edition is organised by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf. Its startup and investor programmes form part of an event that brings technology companies and capital providers together.

The Saudi Press Agency put the combined value of launches and investments announced across LEAP’s four previous Riyadh editions at more than $44.2 billion. That figure covers announcements made between 2022 and 2025, rather than commitments for the forthcoming edition.

The 2025 event accounted for $14.9 billion in announced investments and projects, according to SPA. Those announcements focused on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data centres and advanced technology infrastructure.

The Riyadh gathering follows LEAP’s first international edition, LEAP East, held in Hong Kong from July 8 to 10. The event attracted more than 25,000 visitors, according to SPA, and brought together technology leaders, investors and startup founders from Asia and the Middle East. Saudi technology companies also participated, presenting their solutions and innovations to international markets.
