Saudi Gazette: RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) has urged all carriers in the Kingdom to fully comply with the : on transporting violators of Hajj regulations and instructions to Makkah or the holy sites.
These include holders of all types of visit visas and individuals without a Hajj permit or an entry permit to Makkah for residents for work or housing purposes, until the end of Dhul Hijjah 14, corresponding to May 31.
The directive comes within the framework of integrated national efforts and in implementation of the Ministry of Interior’s announcements on regulations and instructions aimed at organizing crowd movement and preserving the safety and security of pilgrims. These measures include penalties against violators, with fines reaching up to SR100,000 for anyone transporting holders of visit visas of all types to Makkah or the holy sites, from Dhul Qada 1, corresponding to April 19, until the end of Dhul Hijjah 14.
Penalties may also include confiscation of any land transport vehicle proven to have been used in the violation, if owned by the carrier, contributor, or accomplice, following a court ruling.
TGA emphasized to all licensed carriers the importance of fulfilling regulatory requirements, including obtaining licenses and operation cards for vehicles and drivers, adhering to designated routes, not entering areas subject to Hajj regulations without prior authorization, and fully cooperating with security and regulatory authorities at sorting and monitoring checkpoints.
