Mashable: In the past, users had to go through a number of menus to find the precise rule they felt had been broken in order to utilize Twitter's reporting feature.
Now, Everyone on Twitter now has access to Twitter's new and enhanced tweet reporting features. When the new reporting method was originally tested in December, the firm stated that it was attempting to put "people first" and make it simpler for individuals to identify dangerous tweets.
In the past, users had to go through a number of menus to find the precise rule they felt had been broken in order to utilize Twitter's reporting feature. Even individuals who were familiar with Twitter's regulations were baffled by the procedure, which frequently resulted in tweets that were not appropriately notified.
Instead of asking users to identify which rule was broken, the new method asks them to describe "what happened" at the outset of each report. It also makes it easier to report tweets when someone else is being targeted, and it provides more alternatives for reporting hate speech to the community.
It appears that Twitter's decision to simplify things is already paying dividends. Since it began testing the new reporting method six months ago, the corporation claims a 50 percent increase in "actionable reports."
Recently Twitter's board agreed to comply with Elon Musk's demands for internal data by offering access to its full "firehose," the massive stream of data consisting of more than 500 million tweets posted each day, according to a person familiar with the company inside matters.
