https://www.arabianbusiness.com/ : Wynn Al Marjan Island has unveiled plans for a 98-berth superyacht marina capable of accommodating vessels of up to 85 metres, as development of the integrated resort in Ras Al Khaimah continues.
The marina will provide direct access to the resort for guests arriving by sea and will be designed to accommodate both superyachts and megayachts.
Wynn said the facility will have capacity for more yachts and larger vessels than any hotel-attached marina in the UAE.
The marina is being positioned as an extension of the wider Wynn Al Marjan Island development, connecting yacht owners and guests directly with the resort’s accommodation, restaurants, entertainment and other waterfront facilities.
“Wynn Marina has been conceived as a direct extension of Wynn Al Marjan Island,” said Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island.
“Guests will move effortlessly between life on the water and experiences throughout the resort, from dining and entertainment to accommodations and waterfront amenities. It is not simply a place to berth a yacht, but an integral part of the destination.”
The marina adds another major component to Wynn Al Marjan Island, which is being developed on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah.
The multibillion-dollar resort is being developed by Wynn Resorts in partnership with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding and is scheduled to open in 2027.
The project will include hotel accommodation, restaurants, retail, entertainment and leisure facilities, alongside the UAE’s first licensed commercial gaming facility.
The development forms part of Ras Al Khaimah’s wider push to expand its tourism offering and attract higher-spending international visitors as the emirate increases investment in luxury hospitality and leisure infrastructure.
