https://www.hoteliermiddleeast.com/: The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island has officially opened, marking a significant addition to Saudi Arabia’s luxury hospitality sector.

The resort promises an experience of relaxed luxury, sustainable practices and a variety of outdoor adventures, all set against the backdrop of the Red Sea. Its opening is notable because it aligns with the nation’s broader objective of boosting tourism and diversifying its economy.

Located just 25 minutes from the new Red Sea International Airport, the resort is easily accessible via a scenic causeway. The facility is situated on the island’s eastern tip and boasts the longest beach, ensuring guests enjoy both solitude and natural beauty.

The resort is LEED Platinum-certified, highlighting its commitment to sustainability, with features including 149 single-storey rooms and suites, as well as 31 exclusive Resort Residences.

Dining options at the resort are diverse, ranging from Levantine and Mediterranean cuisine to plant-based offerings. The wellness facilities are designed to provide relaxation, supported by unique treatments that incorporate local natural resources.

Activities available to guests include paddleboarding, snorkelling, and hiking, while the Marine Discovery Centre educates visitors on local conservation efforts and biodiversity.

Four Seasons Red Sea also aims to immerse guests in local culture through culinary experiences and activities focusing on Saudi Arabia’s rich traditions. Highlighting natural elements, the spa features treatments using local ingredients from the Red Sea.

The resort is set to be the first of several planned Four Seasons properties along Saudi Arabia’s western coast, contributing to the development of luxury regenerative tourism in the region.

“Shura Island offers a wealth of experiences for discerning, conscious travellers seeking memorable holiday experiences across generations through a rare blend of warm Saudi hospitality and signature Four Seasons care,” says general manager Kai Dieckmann.

Dieckmann added, “At Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island, luxury is no longer defined by comfort or exclusivity alone, but by connection and contribution to a place as a guiding principle of regenerative tourism. This is a place where travellers arrive as visitors and create meaningful memories anchored on a new and more thoughtful way to explore the world.”

Red Sea Global is a vertically integrated real estate developer with a diverse portfolio across tourism, residential, experiences, infrastructure, transport, healthcare, and services. This includes the luxury regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea, which began welcoming guests in 2023, and AMAALA, which remains on track to welcome first guests in 2025.

A third destination, Thuwal Private Retreat, opened in 2024. RSG has also been entrusted with refurbishment works at Al Wajh Airport, focused on upgrading the existing terminal and infrastructure, and building a new international terminal.
