The Dubai chocolate, as many know, didn't just go viral, it changed the dessert game. Created four years ago by Filipino chef Nouel Catis, it quickly became a global favourite.
And now? The chef is giving Abu Dhabi its moment. His new Abu Dhabi chocolate is here — and just one look is enough to leave you craving a bite. Nouel shares on Instagram, "I created the Abu Dhabi Chocolate as my way of paying homage to the UAE, a place I have long considered my second home.
This bar continues my mission of crafting chocolates that honor the country's most iconic cities, each one telling a flavour story rooted in place." Instead of the usual vanilla, hazelnut, or pistachio flavours, Chef Nouel designed Abu Dhabi chocolate to reflect 'the soul of the city': Saffron and cardamom, deep, aromatic, and timeless. Tahina and dates, smooth, earthy, and rooted in local tradition. Nostalgic crunch, a texture that recalls cherished memories. The chocolate took a year to perfect, with the chef and his team relying on feedback from Emirati friends and partners to create the ideal flavour balance. This is an exclusive collaboration with Rain Cafe, a homegrown Emirati brand with which Chef Nouel has worked for six years. The Abu Dhabi Chocolate is priced at $27 (99.16 AED) for a 200g bar and is available exclusively at Rain Cafe outlets. ALSO READ | Move over, pistachio!
